When it comes to San Diego beaches, there is no shortage of options for your canine companion. With miles of sandy shores, the area is perfect for a relaxing day spent lounging with your pup. In addition to providing plenty of beach space for your pooch to run around and play, several dog-friendly locations also feature walking trails that are ideal for exercising and sniffing out new scents.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THE FLOOR HEAT ON WARMER SEASONS.
1) Mission Bay is home to three dog-friendly beaches, including Fiesta Island, which is located by Mission Beach. The fenced in dog area will be closer to the end of the loop. It is aquatic sports friendly and you can enjoy the water with your pup if you have a paddle board or kayak.
Free lot parking - be aware for trailer parking (you will get ticketed if you are a regular vehicle).
3) Dog Beach in La Jolla is located directly in front of the famous Children's Pool tidepools and features views of La Jolla Cove and the ocean. The parking is street, and is a great place to stroll and sight see with you pup.
4) Coronado Dog Beach, close to the Hotel Del, take your fur baby on a stroll by the water and views of Downtown San Diego. Street Parking, free

5) Ocean Beach offers expansive ocean views as well as near by shopping with your furry companion. Street Parking, free
6) Del Mar/Solana Dog Beach we have not visited yet and will be back to update. Street Parking, free
Most of these locations are typically street parking, some of them do have parking lots, some are paid. Please be prepared to have coins and a good set of eyes to look for parking.
