Pet Friendly Camping at Big Bear Lakes (Boulder Group Campground

If you're looking for a memorable camping experience with your furry friends, look no further than Big Bear Lake. With its many campgrounds, each boasting their own unique features and atmosphere, there's sure to be one that'll suit your needs.

We personally stayed at the Boulder Group Campsite. The site was rented from Recreations.gov.

The campsite was called Boulder Group Camp. It was priced at $140 a night but holds about 40 people. There is an outhouse type toilet and a fire pit, grill and picnic table for grilling burgers and hotdogs. There was a large tree that we could hang our hammocks from in case we wanted to enjoy just hanging out in the woods. Overall it was a nice place to spend time outdoors with the whole family including your four legged companions.

The campsite was in the center of various trails you could wander to take you to the views of Big Bear Lakes.

Please be cautious and vigilant of your pet while you are camping. Things can still spook your pet no matter how confident you are in your pooch. We recommend you have the following items on hand to keep your fur pals safe, happy and healthy on your family excursions.

  • Cargo Lashing Straps - can originally be used for your car to strap things down. But you can also use it on a tree and loop your dog's leash to create a zipline to keep them in your area. Learned from Lifehacker.

We enjoyed our time and the views of the lakes. The items suggested really helped us stay organized and comfortable throughout our stay.
